Trade Program FAQ
Who is eligible for the program?
Designers, decorators, architects, stagers and hospitality or commercial procurement professionals. We review each application personally. Show us you work in the trade and we'll take it from there.
Is there a cost to join the program?
None. Membership is free, and once you're approved your trade pricing and benefits are yours to use.
What discounts do trade members receive?
Trade pricing depends on the project and scale. Once you're approved, we'll walk you through the exact discounts and benefits available to you, before your first quote so there are no surprises.
How does trade pricing work, do I buy at trade and mark it up, or refer my client to you?
Either way works. We can structure trade pricing to fit your model, whether you purchase at trade and resell to your client or refer the project to us. Once you're approved we'll walk through the approach that fits how you run your practice.
What are your payment terms?
We take 50% up front to begin your build and the remaining 50% on completion, before delivery.
Do you accept resale certificates?
Yes. If you're purchasing for resale, send us your resale certificate and we'll set up your account tax exempt.
Can you build a fully custom piece from my drawings?
Yes. Most of what we make starts from a designer's drawings or a rough sketch. Send us dimensions, reference images or a full CAD set and we'll build to your spec, and every piece can be modified down to the inch. If you're still developing the design, we're glad to work it out with you.
Will I get renderings and specs to present to my client?
Yes. Trade members get a design rendering before any deposit, which standard clients don't, so you can confirm dimensions, orientation and detailing with your client up front. We'll also share the specs you need for your own drawings and spec books.
Can I get wood and finish samples for my clients?
Yes. Designers in the program get free finish samples of our standard offerings, cut from our actual species so you and your client can choose from the real thing instead of a screen. Tell us what you're working on and we'll send the options that suit the project.
Is there a minimum order?
No. A single coffee table gets the same trade treatment as a thirty-table order.
How do lead times work?
Designers in the program generally get two weeks off our standard lead times, when possible. Tell us your install date up front and we'll confirm the production schedule before you commit.
Do you deliver and install?
We ship anywhere in the contiguous U.S. and offer white glove delivery with light installation. Tell us your site conditions up front and we'll coordinate the delivery around your timeline.
Do you work outside Los Angeles?
All the time. About half of our trade work is outside Southern California, and we ship all over the contiguous U.S. Tell us where the project lands and we'll handle the logistics.
Is the furniture built for commercial use?
Yes. Our pieces are solid wood and built for daily commercial use, and they carry a 5-year limited warranty.
Can my client be part of the process?
Absolutely. Clients are welcome at the shop by appointment to look at lumber, see work in progress and meet the people building their piece.
