- 1.5"-thick solid wood tabletop, legs and shelf made from locally recovered lumber

- Urban lumber finished with satin hard-wax oil
- Reclaimed wood finished with matte water-based conversion varnish

White glove delivery within Los Angeles Count ranges from $150 to $350 for most items under 150 pounds, based upon the distance from our workshop, the size of your piece, and the load-in scenario.

National shipping ranges from $400 to $600 for most items under 150 pounds. National shipping is partial white-glove, meaning the shipper will help arrange the furniture items into your space, but will require assistance from you or another person who is on site.

You're a party-game junkie and you need your fix when you need it, so we designed The Melonee coffee table for disturbed competition freaks just like you...and us. 

We get it, there's never a bad moment to show up your ninnyhammer friends at Balderdash or Taboo.  Thus, we've ingeniously added a super-hidden, ultra-accessible lower shelf for that sweetest of moments when everyone's guard is down and they're just bored enough to say "Um, sure."

For additional underhandedness we recently added a 1"-square tube inner frame to a black-finished reclaimed wood Melonee, shown in photo three, but your coffee table will have a 12"-wide shelf without the steel girding by default, which is priced here.  Just shoot us a note on a Custom Built Quote form if you'd like to add it. 

The light charring in the primary photo is the most popular option for this customized furniture piece so far, which makes sense as a crafty middle tone that can tie oak wood flooring together with an antique rug and transitional emerald green sofa, for example. 

All reclaimed wood surfaces are well protected with a water-based varnish, and all urban hardwoods with a hard-wax oil.  In either case, your newly torpid and languorous guests won't need to remember coasters.  Scrabble anyone!?

You bet. We can use high-end tints from Rubio Monocoat to alter the natural color of the wood. We do have a charge for this process, which includes a selection of custom wood samples mailed to your home. Make a note when ordering or Ask A Question above to get a stain quote for your furniture item.

These sustainable planks come from non-farmed trees that fell in our local neighborhoods. Local urban-lumber milling companies turn them into beautiful dimensional lumber, rather than allowing them to be sent to landfills. We've fostered excellent relationships with these organizations (noble, good-looking heroes whom we love dearly), so they'll call us when the newest batches are about to be dried and milled.

Our Reclaimed Wood
Old-growth Doug fir

We respect the use of all reclaimed wood, but at Parkman we only use salvaged lumber from Los Angeles County structures that were built about 100 years ago or more. This old-growth wood is derived from ancient trees that, thankfully, are no longer being deforested. We prefer this sustainable lumber due to its natural durability and beauty. Conversely, most furniture wood these days comes from farms that cut their crop young, leaving the lumber comparatively soft and bland. These farms also use massive amounts of energy and water, unnecessarily damaging the global environment.

We perform all of our woodwork and metalwork in our Los Angeles workshop so that we can personally oversee every aspect of your build. Most shops you'll come across simply design and market products, but don't actually build any furniture, preferring to outsource the physical work to offshore or lower quality white label shops. We lean into the entire process, from inception to inspection, and pay fair wages with benefits to our expert craftspeople.
